Beautiful images Jonathan. For some reason I like the first one best, there is something about those clouds that make it more pleasing.

Nice...you can just pick out M41, one of my favourite clusters, south of Sirius.

I was in Downpatrick tonight, and the sky was great.
Of course, as soon as I hit Carryduff there was a wall of cloud marking Belfast.
It seems to have the same weather as Mordor.

No doubt i like the first picuture with the clouds,,i am now forced to beleive that skies in your latitude is definetely clearer whwn not cloudy, here we have haze due to very high day temp

I know that haze, Suresh.
Greece could be the same during prolonged periods of high temperatures, leading to haze, probably cause by inversions.
