Hi everyone, I am a keen photographer who has always had an interest in astronomy and want to try astrophotography. After watching countless YouTube videos I have invested in the ioptron skyguider pro. I have been following the Peter Zelinka series on you tube. However if I follow his instructions for setting up the skyguider pro. Then when I attach it to the mount and set my latitude 54.3 then the clutch end is pointing downwards making polar alignment impossible. The image below shows the set up with the latitude at -20. If you enlarge the image you will see what I mean. Can I reverse the sky guider pro and attach it to the mount the opposite way round or what am I missing. I only have this a few days and with our weather have yet to get out and test it to see the effects of reversing the skyguider in the mount. any advice is more than welcome. TIA John.

Hi John welcome to the forum I take it there is a polar scope you look through to get polar alignment and its pointed north ? Hopefully you will be able to get the issues resolved quickly it is hard to describe on here how to fix the issues and if things where back to normality you would be most welcome to bring it along to one of our meetings and we could take a look at it unfortunatly that is not possible at the present time,if you have any other questions just ask.
Regards Jonathan Bingham
