Hi folks Jimmy here just a quick question about diagonals. Do they fit all telescope the same? Am going to buy a short tube refractor and get the good diagonal from astro buy and sell. Any help would be great. Thank you!

They are the exact same as eyepieces as in they come in 2" and 1.25" formats. As long as the tube has the correct 2" or 1.25" opening you should be fine.

Hi Jimmy, I'm not a great expert on this, but, like eyepieces, diagonals come in two sizes, 1 1/4 and 2 inch.
If your new scope will take 2" eyepieces, it will take a 2" diagonal.
What diagonal are you planning on buying? There's nor really a big difference between them, and it could be that the diagonal which comes with the new scope may be more than adequate.
Oops, Gary beat me to it. Also what scope are you planning on buying?
