Great news Edgeworth. I hope to be able to try observing on Thursday/Friday.
Forecast currently looks promising with skies clearing on Thursday evening.

OK, MarkDJ, that's good news. All potential observers should keep checking for any possible updates to the shadow tracks at: mpocc.astro.cz/updates/Best wishes on the night. E.

Looks like the clear weather is arriving on Thursday morning with cloud and rain coming in during the afternoon and evening.

There are two forecasts you can check for tonight's observing chances. Intrigingly, the BBC are showing a spot of clear weather for my location at 4am BST. Go to www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/n_ireland/ and enter your postcode. Then click on 24hour forecast. This gives detailed predictions in 3hr intervals. Also check out the Metcheck Advanced forecast - Cloud forecast for Astronomers. www.metcheck.com This shows high, middle and low cloud in percentage amounts in hourly intervals for the the evening ahead. "Frustrated by cloud" comes to mind but we shall see. If I get the first occultation at 0012BST I'll wait around for the next. Clear Skies Mark PS. Last night was good but there was thin high cloud lowering limiting magnitude alot.
