Hello MarkK You should have had your scope out tonight. The forecast was for it to clear up and it sure did!! I was seeing the milky way easily, M31 and double cluster all naked eye. There were a few small thin bands of cloud but they past quickly and I got some good observing and imaging this evening. The forecast showed the sky getting clearer as it got later and as I packed the scope away at around midnight the sky was crystal clear. I only wish I could have stayed out longer. Imaging details will come soon - I'll see how the processing goes but here's a taster... More to follow hopefully

oh dear , a bad decision then, but the from the horizon up to about 45 degrees was pretty cloudy here at about 11pm, and i'd had a long day yesterday, so couldn't really manage to stay awake . This morning was wonderfully clear though, with the cresent moon out. Do the nights get better the colder it gets Mark? Excellent image BTW, some fine detail there. You'll have to give me a few tips

Mark
The photos on the website are great, the ring nebula came out really well, looks great. I must have a word with you about your technique to see if I can pick up some tips, I am trying to get into imaging but not much good so far.
