Tonight, Tuesday 4th October the weather is to be clear with light winds, perfect for astronomy so get your scopes out...
The sky is to be very transparent and with a new Moon, this looks great for deep sky observing and imaging.

Im 100% overcast but the clouds look light..hope it clears. If anyone has got really trans skies tonight look out for the Gegenschein which should be between Aries and Pisces and if your up before dawn look for the zodical light!

Ahhh, anticyclones.. endless blue skies, sunshine and.. hang on, it's cloudy?
During the Autumn and Winter months in the UK, anticyclones don't always spell wall to wall sunshine. The reason is anticyclonic gloom, a thin layer of Stratocumulus clouds which is reluctant to break and can give relentless days of grey skies and average temperatures.
Computer models have always struggled with this feature and this is the reason why.
