hi everyone, heres an image of the crater posidonius and surrounding area. taken in the early hours of the 20th november with my toucam and C8 SCT at f/20. captured in k3ccd tools, 10fps, 600 frames stacked in registax v3, touched up in paintshop pro 9. note the rille feature to the upper right of the image! james

Superb image Jimmy, detail is stunning.
Your rille feature is Rima G Bond and is about 91 miles long and 2 miles wide. The deep crater along side it is G.Bond called for George Philip Bond. The bay feature above it is Hall called for Asaph Hall who discovered the moons of Mars in 1877.

Awesome detail Jimmy, i feel like i can walk along the lunar surface just by looking at it. great stuff and thanks for sharing with us.

Wow James, that's beautiful - I love the rille features in the bottom of the crater posidonus, I just love looking at the details.
