Wow, Conor that is weird! It looks like a stack of lenticular clouds, but I've never seen a pile of them some squashed together underneath a huge big black cloud like that! It certainly pools like cool air has just sunk from the dark cloud, but what would cause the air to form into a pile like that? I think you should post it on UKWeather World and ask for comments. Meantime, I might do a wee bit of searching on the internet. Very interesting (makes a better option than getting stuck into some work this Minday morning!).

Yea it was amazing. I didi post it there, some think it was caused by moist air sinking and the shape due to the mountain below
