Well, the sky didn't do much for me this weekend, despite the hope of clear, darker skies in the wilds of Fermanagh. I suppose the sunset on Saturday night was ok...

Great shots Veronica, i really do love those pink crep rays..very unusual. Fermanagh is a lovely area of the country isnt it?

Thanks for the comments, Martin. I do love Fermanagh - I used to spend a lot of time up around the Marlbank and Boho caving. Love the karst geology up there. The old caving club I used to be in have a lovely cottage (absolutely no mod cons) near Marble Arch - I was awarded my very first 'proper' viewing of the Milky Way from the back (only) door. The only light pollution comes from Enniskillen, which you can't see anyway as it's hidden by a wee knoll in the right place. Fantastic! Must start praying for a clear spell in winter so I can bring the scope up for a weekend. Mind, I'm not as hardy as I was in those days - won't be staying there again, it's pretty grim!
