Hi all, what a lovely sky I had last night! While the sun was setting behind the sky-side clouds last night, a small break in the clouds at the antisolar point gave me my first ever viewing of anticrepuscular rays. They were quite faint so I've had to play with the contrast and brightness a bit.

:)Thank you, Martin - that's some praise!
I was so excited and panicking to capture the rays that Owen wondered what on earth I'd seen! I garbled out "anticrepuscular rays" and he just rolled his eyes and muttered something like "huh? what?". Thinks I'm mad!
While it's the first time I've seen them, they still don't match the feeling of excitement that the NLC spotting produced! ;D

They're very good Veronica. I hope you don't mind but I subjected one of your shots to the Curves tool which does rather more than mere brightness and contrast can manage. Paul.

Paul, I don't mind in the slightest - good of you to take the time to fiddle with the picture to bring out the details. The rays are much more obvious in your version and it looks a lot more atmospheric as well! Thank you!
