At 13.25 today a brillant sun halo appeared, very thick and bright with vivid colours. A colourful sundog was located on its eastern flank appox 33* from the sun instead of the typical 22* it was slanted at a steep angle with a section of parhelic circle leading from it.

Interesting and well spotted! Do you know why this particular sundog appeared at 33* and not 22*? Maybe I shouldn't be so lazy and go look it up myself!
