The weather forecast I seen today on television are forecasting clear skies for us tonight. We had showers and winds today but the sun is out now. Lets hope it clears tonight.

I checked 4 different independent sources and they all said 20:09 local time. We had some low cloud and a t9pm the Moon was well up in the sky so maybe the Moon was just obscured.

Must have been obscured. I was comet hunting at the time and sky was dark with no distinct change in the sky brightness. I finnished searching at 21.00 when the brightness was obvious in the eyepiece. I am looking forward to more dark skies - I have a good feeling about this dark period
