I really can't believe how bad it's been this past six weeks or more. Obviously we've displeased the gods, and we need a human sacrifice. I'd suggest Brendan, but I'm not sure he's human. ;D

Oddly today turned out very nice being my first day back at work after a dose of Bronchitis - I even caught a glimpse of Venus this evening. Back to clouds by the time I got home though!

To make matters worse, I got 30-40 minutes of clear skies starting about 1.30 am this morning, and the sky was really transparent. Even with a bright moon, I was able to count 17 stars in Gemini with the naked eye, including some at mag 5. Could also see Gamma Canis Minoris and Alcor. Might not sound like much, but since I live 1.5 miles from the docks and the city airport (as the crow flies) believe me, that is pretty good. Also caught M35,M44 and M67 in the binos before the clouds rolled in again.
