news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7120574.stmWaves of up to 45 foot are expected off Ireland's west coast this weekend, weather experts have warned. Met Eireann and the Marine Institute said all ships and anyone close to the shoreline "should take great care, especially on Saturday". Now, is it just me or when you read this do you say, Claassss! or do you say, oh I hope everyone will be ok. Me? probably both but in that order. I also go immediately to my weather website and check out the links for the wave heights on the west of ireland. The NOAA website Buoy data gives hourly heights so have a look over the next few days. www.ndbc.noaa.gov/maps/United_Kingdom.shtmlthe K3 buoy is already recording 36ft wave heights !!!

Oh yeah, I forgot for a sec there. Be sure and be careful, are you intending diving? I sure hope not - I would cancel now unless you are in D' bay. Take lots of pics !
