Almost three weeks after ordering, the bookshop in the US I ordered fro, Alibris, has "just noticed" that it's unavailable, and that they're refunding my money. That' s exceptionally nice of them, seeing as I didn't get anything. So...unless anyone has any other suggestions, it looks like another seceral hour trek round obscure net links looking for someone who actually has this.

I'd seen that already, thanks Mark. Going on Neil P's recommendations I'm looking for the Field Laminated version, which I don't think that is. I've been scouring the US sites, as it doesn't seem to be anywhere around here.

Sorry to hear that Eamonn - if I wasnt currently using my own SA 2000 I would give you mine. The only other star atlas I have is a Philip's hardback colour star atlas showing stars down to mag 6 with few DSO's. Its here if you want it. Good luck with your new purchase

I've tracked down some to Telescope House after phoning them, but they're unlaminated, unfortunately....and I'll need laminated to protect it in darkness from dew, spilled tea and an overactive bladder... Thanks for the offer, Martin, but I'm looking for something that'll be the definitive atlas and do me for ever..and with more DSOs than you can throw a 12" Dob at! I'd some good news today that means a 12" Dob might be a distinct possibility before Xmas!

Amazon has the laminated one. Did I not post a link to it earlier?

I'm sure they are "bound" to have the normal one too!

Doesn't say if it's laminated.

Well, got the only one Field Version available, which is, of course, unlaminated and unbound. So.....anyone know the best place locally to get the sheets laminated? Size is eighteen and a half inches by thirteen and a half, a wee bit bigger than A3. Internet estimates run at around £4 per sheet, which is a bit much,as I've about 26 to do.

Hi E, I'm friendly with the local printers here in DPK and they said they'll charge £1.50 a sheet but because I'm the discount queen, they said they'll do the lot for £30, if interested you can give me them on Monday night, looking forward to your lecture BTW

Absolutely, I'll jump at that. Thanks a lot for the help, it's appreciated....I'll PM you about full details. Hope you learn something from my talk, if only not to go to talks that I give in future.

I've just noticed that previously you were looking for a bound version so the kind guys at Plus2Print ( I have to advertise them!) said they'd bound them for you at no extra cost if you want. You owe me!!
