Hello trike. I was looking for you this evening. You have won the competition. You will now be the proud owner of a set of Sky At night Stamps and an exclusive EAAS Red Light Pen for writing in the dark. Congratulations. For scopes, try www.astronomy-uk.co.uk/There is a big forum section with lots of astro stuff for sale. Also look at Astromart though US based.

Hi Trike, welcome to the forum. Glad you enjoyed Ballyearl, it was a great night. I don't know how much you know about telescopes, but if you are inexperienced, then beware of ebay, there is some real rubbish on it. Don't forget the old rule, if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is. Don't expect to get a decent telescope for under £200, although you could get lucky of course. There are plenty of websites to look at, some can be accessed from adverts on this website. If you see something you like, put a post on here and get some opinions, which is one thing there is no shortage of, believe me. Good luck.

Hi William - glad you enjoyed the eclipse. Stevie's right - if you've got a shortlist of scopes that you like, you'll get lots of feedback from the folks on the forum which will hopefully help no end...or just serve to boggle your mind! Seriously though, they're a great bunch and a mine of useful information!
