I recently bought myself an ETX105 and I am very pleased with it so far but someone has offered me an ETX125 for about the same money as I would get for the 105 if I sold it.
So the obvious question I am about to ask is,is it worth my while going through the hassle of selling my scope to finance buying the 125?
Im sure the 125 is a better scope with a bit more light grasp but would anyone know if there is really that much difference between the 2 scopes?
Im pretty new to astronomy so Im not really sure where my main interests are going to be observing wise.
Any help at all even the smallest bit of advice would help me out greatly.
Thanks, Dave...........

Hi Dave
Mechanically they are both identical, the only real difference is the aperture and the focal length. The 125 will still be pretty portable and give you a bit better light gathering, optically they will both be sharp so it really comes down to how much hassle would it be to sell the 105 to buy the 125, if you have a quick easy sale on the 105 I would say go for it provided the 125 is in good working order.

I would agree with Neil. Aperture is king in this game Dave.
