I have been talking on the phone to someone who is looking to sell me an ETX 125 the thing is he isnt sure if it has UHTC coatings on the optics as it doesnt say on the ota.
I was wondering if anyone knows if the UHTC coatings make that much of a difference?
I would be getting the scope at a really good price with quite a few accessories so if the UHTC coatings arent much of an issue then I would go for it but I dont want to buy something that I later find out was a mistake.
Does anyone know how to find out if it does have the coatings? all I know is that it should say on the bottom of the ota.
It is a premier edition, I dont know if the PE would come with the coatings as standard or they are an option.

Dave I am pretty sure it will have UHTC coatings, the UHTC were standard on the old version so I would be pretty sure they would be standard on the premier edition. it is easy to check if it has UHTC look at the front plate from an ange and you should be able to see either a purple or greenish tinge from he glass.

On the older models the UHTC was an optional extra in America but came as standard on the UK ones. I would also agree with Neil, the premier edition should be UHTC as standard!
