Hi all,
I thought I'd pick your brains about were to find foam to put in my telescope box. Oh and it would be great if it didnt cost the earth. Does it have to be the grey stuff in the camera cases or would a lighter foam or polystrene work out.

I think you can get foam in dunelm mill, might be ok for a box, I thought about buying some for a while to make an eyepiece box.

My dad made a case for my bass guitar once and lined it with foam he bought somewhere out near Antrim .... really did the trick ... i'll ask him later where he got it ...

There is a place in Crumlin that sells all sorts of packing foam for making cases for various delicate instruments ... and I dont think its too expensive .... sadly I dont know the name of the place ...

Thanks fellas for the advice, I'm going to chase this up and see if I can organise my case better. Just did a number on it with polystrene and bubble wrap from the in laws new sofa. Not exactly a work of art or ideal but at least the tube isn't moving.
Thanks again
