Metchek is a worse than useless resource. At the moment it's supposed to be pouring, but there isn't a cloud in the sky. On Tuesday night it was the same...100% cloud with rain, and the sky was completely clear, with the stars sparkling. In these days of satellite weather, this must be compiled by sacrificing chickens and reading their entrails. I've just deleted it off my favourites as it's now proved absolutely pointless having it.

I've said this before, either here or on another forum
Place a rock in an area of the garden easily visible from a window.
Rock wet.......................raining Rock not visible.............fog Rock easily seen...........full moon Rock gone.....................tornado

I'm thinking about webcamming a rock for said nowcasting.
Try also
7Timer AstroPanel and Meteoblue
which I find very good for forecasts. Links are on my weather site :-)

I noticed that Metcheck had 100% clear skies for tonight. Trouble was they were 100% cloudy. I think they must keep their weather satellite in a locked up garage somewhere, just to save on fuel.

I've given up on all those site. Most of the time they get it wrong for me. Now I am back to what I used to do years ago, stick my head out a window and if it is clear I go out.
