Due to a recent upgrade I have for sale my Celestron Nexstar 5 Outfit. This is a great little goto telescope and has served me well since I got it and proved a wonderful introduction to telescopes. Included are the following: - Celestron nexstar 5 telescope on a goto mount.
- Tripod
- Celestron hard case for the scope and mount
- Celestron 25mm and 10mm eyepieces
- manual
- 12v Power lead (car cigarette lighter plug type) (the scope will run on aa batteries)
- Red Dot Finder
- Dew Shield
- AstroZap Baader Solar Filter
- Equatorial Wedge
This is not a new scope but functions well and has great optics. I am looking for £250 o.n.o. Feel free to ask questions, I am happy to demonstrate if the skies play ball but with my recent purchase thats unlikely Collection only or perhaps delivery in the Greater Belfast Area

In case anyone is thinking about buying this. It is a superb scope, and the accuracy of the go-to, never mind the excellent optics, makes it a bargain at this price. I have seen Mark using a 12mm eyepiece in this scope, and the go-to still got the target in the centre of the field every time. And I have seen Mirach's Ghost (NGC404) in this scope, which is not an easy object even for much larger scopes.

Would this be any good for astrophotography stuff? I really want something portable and was just wondering would it be any use with my (very lightweight) olympus DSLR. Is tracking possible with the Goto and wedge?

tracking is possible with the goto and wedge, in fact this particular setup once aligned normally has little drift in the field of view. The more time is spent setting up and aligning the better the results would be of course. there are several ways of setting it up with a camera one of which is a T42 adaptor where the telescope becomes a large T42 lenses. To use it like this you need to get the appropriate adaptor. Another way is to fix the camera at the eyepiece and image through that. there is a section in the manual available here www.nexstarsite.com/download/manuals/NexStar5Manual.zip

Cool I have most of the imaging stuff from my last telescopic escapades (t42 adapter, afocal projection adapter). I have a guy calling round tonight to take some of my stuff away at a reasonable price so give me a day or two and i'll give you a definite answer.

I will as they say ...... take it. Just sold the 130PM to a nice gentleman who was quite astounded at the size of it ( as I was when I got it).
I'll send you a PM and maybe we can arrange it.
Cheers G.
