Hello folks It's took me 46 years, but finally I've got my first telescope It's a "Starlight 80" and I hope to learn as much as I can about the sky above me. I'm pretty much a beginner as astronomy goes, so I hope to visit this forum quite often and get buckets of advise. ......I'm going to need it : ) Kind regards Steve from North Belfast

Hi Steve, I'm pretty much in the same boat as you as an astronomy beginner as well. Really enjoying it though. Good to hear it's sunny now in Ballysillan, unfortunately my memories from up there are me sitting in the Boys Model school with a big cloud over my head looking at the clock waiting for home time.

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas.
I did'nt have the pleasure of the Boys Model Watsy. I went to Dunlambert Secondery instead, still a good school.
