Much as I like my nice Meade Apo I really miss looking at the planets in any details ( my F5 is just waaaaay to wide).
I was thinking of something short and compact like a Mak or SCT of maybe around a 5" aperture.
Is there anything out there for around the 200 - 250 mark? I dont need anything other than the OTA,visual back and the tube rings.

Also it would be a great scope for imaging planetary nebula and some star clusters

Really pleased to hear this. I've been tempted to get a 6 or 8 inch version of this for years but bills keep holding me back. I'd love one for planetary and double star observing and imagining.
