Happy Christmas to all! It wasn't a good year for observing but despite the lack of good clear nights there has still been some sensational observations and memorable moments. I've asked Santa for better weather next year so let's hope I've been a good enough boy to earn it. Best wishes to you all and hopefully we will all get to see more of each other, under the stars and sharing the experience. Simon

Yes, not a great year, and especially not a great Autumn.
Highlight of the year was the views of comet Panstarrs down at Bragan in April, although the night we first saw the comet up on Black Mountain was also memorable. No prizes for guessing the dud of the year.
But, things can only get better. There's some excellent new eyepieces which have been bought by a few of us, and I'm really looking forward to having a look through them.
Anyway, a very Merry Xmas to you all, and hoping for plenty of observing in the New Year.

Yes Happy Christmas to everyone
I think the highlights of my year was getting to Bragan the skies were so clear and it was the first time i seen Orion's shield. Really hope to get again soon
Comet panstarrs is memorable too mainly due to the fact that after gales, snow showers, freezing winds and tales of UFO's i eventually managed to see it!
I will pray to the weather gods that 2014 is a good one

Belated Seasons Greetings to everyone. There are two things I'm hoping for next year. One is clear skies and two is that this little country of ours quietens down a bit so I can have a bit more time off to enjoy them!
