Welcome to the forum.
Keep an eye out on the forum for notice of when we will be going out observing again.
This weekend doesn't look great.
If you post on here, we will try and get you a lift to Killylane if you need one.
You would also be more than welcome to come along to our meetings, they are on the first Monday of every month from September until May, although our next meeting is actually on 12th May, and will be the last of this season.
Come along anyway, there will be three good speakers.

It would be rare that we would go observing in June or most of July, it is just too bright at night to see anything.
Similarly, we would not go out in mid-winter, unless it is mild.
Spring and Autumn tend to be the best times for observing, but it is very much weather-dependent. That is why observing sessions are only put on the forum at short notice, often only a matter of hours.
We would always try to get out at the weekend nearest New Moon, and also the weekend before and after. It is a waste of time observing deep sky objects like galaxies and nebulae near Full Moon, as the sky is too bright, although planets and double stars can be ok.
Saturday nights are preferred to Friday nights. There are some people who are either very old or very tired after work (some are both) and like to get into their beds nice and early, while the hard-core will happily stay out all night. We would sometimes go observing in mid-week if it gets dark early enough to give us a couple of hours, usually in early Spring and late Autumn.
