Hi all, its been ages since I have got much observing in, but last night I got the chance to sort out and play with a scope I got for work.
I'd missed the 8" dob on here and had tried the 5" flexidob but it wasn't right for what I needed.
Then Andy had the 6 intelliscope which is just the money. He hadn't had it long and hadn't had a go with it himself. So I had 1st light last night.
It needed collimated but it was a dawdle. F8 is very kind to eyepieces and collimation. The supplied eyepieces were sirus plossls and performed well.
When I decided to level the base and try the intelliscope handset for push to instructions it was simple and found each object spot on. It was so easy. This was all from my light polluted back garden.
It will be great with the young people as I can quickly point to objects or have them star hopping and find them themselves.
Really like the 6" scope and the intelliscope handset. Brian
